THE FRONTS FOR FAST

2023 OTT.X XFRONTS


OTT.X will hold the second annual X-FRONTS (THE FRONTS FOR FAST) on May 23 & 24, 2023 at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles California.

The OTT.X X-FRONTS will be a two-day exchange for media buyers to learn about the booming AVOD & FAST ad market and explore one of a kind opportunities provided by prominent and up-and-coming AVOD and FAST platforms, networks and channels. Participation is free for all qualified media buyers.

Presentations by FAST platforms, channels and publishers will include first look details about lineups, content promotion, viewer demographics, upcoming plans for the year and advertising opportunities.

The conference programming will educate media buyers on the ins and outs of the AVOD & FAST landscapes via a series of panels, presentations, research findings, and interactive roundtable discussions focused on the growth of FAST and how it’s being utilized to get the most out of advertising spends, as well as revenue opportunities, operational issues, and projections for the future.

In addition to the pitches and presentations, meeting spaces, both private and semi-private, will be available for planned or ad-hoc meetings between buyers and sellers.

What Else is Taking Place at the X-FRONTS?


This event is presented from the perspective of the “sellers”. It will educate and advocate for promotion using AVOD and FAST platforms. We’ll celebrate the “new normal” in consumer consumption of media, as well as the meteoric growth of these platforms.

To enhance the mission of the X-FRONTS, conference programming will educate media buyers on the ins and outs of the AVOD & FAST landscapes via a series of panels, presentations, research findings, and roundtable discussions focused on revenue opportunities, operational issues & standards, and projections for the future.

Sponsors will have an opportunity to introduce themselves during the main program, and at exhibits present throughout the event.


What Does the Schedule Look Like?


Each day’s formal agenda will start at 10:15 with an intermixing of conference programming, pitches & presentations, roundtable discussions & much more. Throughout the event, the showroom floor will be open for attendees to meet prominent AVOD and FAST platforms, networks and channels.

Sessions and meetings wrap in the late afternoon each day, and a cocktail party will be held on the evening of May 23.


How are the X-FRONTS Different from the Up-Fronts or the New-Fronts?


The X-FRONTS are intended for “the pioneers” of our OTT AVOD/FAST community. While all “sellers” are encouraged to participate, we are focusing on AVOD & FAST companies and others like them. Focus won’t be concentrated on two or three companies a day – but rather on ten to twenty. Media buyers will be directly exposed to a plethora of options for their media budget spends – in total representing the collective eyeballs of a burgeoning market.

Unlike the NYC-based Up-Fronts and New-Fronts, the X-FRONTS will be held in Los Angeles – at or near home-base for much of this new community. Not only will NYC-based ad firms likely send representation, but many companies or individuals headquartered on the West Coast will find it easier to attend.

The X-FRONTS are produced by OTT.X and will serve to advocate for and promote the value of OTT AVOD and FAST platforms. And, since the event is produced by the Industry’s not-for-profit trade association, the participation and sponsorship costs have been kept to a minimum – and whatever funds are, in fact, earned from the event go right back into the trade association’s support for your businesses!


Who's Participating? (Subject to Change)


It is anticipated that the six hours of presentation time will sell out.

In addition to the “buyers” and “sellers”, we will be inviting the rest of our community and the industry-at-large to attend the keynotes, presentations, and the networking sessions. Press and the investment community will be encouraged to attend as well.


What Will it Cost to Participate?

Brands, advertisers, and ad agencies will be invited to attend this event at no charge, to encourage participation.

Presentation rates for platforms, networks and channels for this charter year are at an introductory level, and range from $6,500 for a 30-minute presentation down to $1,100 for a 5-minute presentation.

Optional meeting spaces will be available at $2,500 for a private room and $1,500 for a semi-private “pipe-and-drape” meeting room.

Employees of OTT.X member companies can attend the presentation and networking sessions at no charge, and non-members can attend for $375 each ($200 Early Bird Rate).
