About the TeamVIZIO’s ad tech team is looking for a self-motivated Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to help deliver our strategic initiatives to employees using our internal ad tech platform. We look for people who can effectively write and execute manual test plans for new features that span full-stack, data-intensive technologies. We’re well supported with automated unit/integration/e2e tests, but we need the support of manual QA to verify bugs and validate new features. The position can be held in one of several offices (San Francisco, Dallas, Denver, Irvine, New York), and is responsible for verifying bug-free features and deployments. We are a close-knit team, focusing on challenging problems that make a difference to our business. We concentrate on high-impact, high-value development, and in this role, you’ll help us identify issues with our features before end-users are affected.
What You Will Do
- QA new UI features: manually access our application and try to break it. Verify both happy path and negative cases behave as expected
- QA API endpoints using Postman
- Be part of a dynamic team that builds an internal ad-tech tool for employees in a high growth area of VIZIO
- Collaborate with other engineers (back-end, UI/UX) to test and validate their features as part of the development lifecycle
- Help establish best practices for testing, bug reporting, and supporting deployments of new features
- Improve application quality by testing both pre- and post-deployment to verify features are configured and functioning properly
- Support end-users by replicating bugs reported and verifying engineers have fixed those reported issues
- Be accountable for the quality of new features, and assist with tracking, communicating, and following-up with bug reports from end users
About You
- You have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, electronics, or equivalent experience
- You have at least two years of experience in a software test and debug environment
- You have experience replicating software failures
- You have a history of driving issues to closure
- You are capable of working independently
- You have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- You have an eye for detail and can follow detailed instructions
- You have the patience to reproduce difficult to reproduce issues
- You have experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams

For Colorado-based employment: The minimum salary for this position is $85,000/year. The compensation package includes the quarterly bonus in addition to a range of medical, dental, vision and other benefits."
