OTT.X Welcomes KweliTV as Newest Association Member
OTT.X is delighted to announce KweliTV as the newest member of the association and streaming, CTV, & OTT community.
kweliTV is a global media and entertainment company that celebrates the richness of Black stories and amplifies the voices of Black creators worldwide. We are the premier destination for Black independent cinema, offering the largest selection of award-winning and festival-featured Black independent films, documentaries, series, animation, web shows and children’s programming.
Their curated collection of over 800 titles reflects the vibrancy and diversity of the global Black experience, featuring award-winning content from North America, Africa, the Caribbean, Latin America, Europe, and beyond. With a robust video-on-demand library and dynamic live channels, kweliTV offers audiences unparalleled access to films, documentaries, series, events and immersive experiences that celebrate Black stories from around the world. Accessible worldwide, kweliTV is available across multiple mobile and TV platforms, libraries and educational institutions.
Named by PCMag as one of the Top 10 Best Movie Streaming Services since 2020; the only black- woman- and independently- owned platform on the list, kweliTV has been featured in CNN Business, TIME, Fast Company, Refinery29, Emmy Magazine, Shondaland, Bloomberg & more.
Kweli means “truth” in Swahili, embodying our commitment to presenting stories that are a true reflection of global Black culture–stories that entertain, educate and inspire.

We’re really excited to join the OTT.X community! At kweliTV, our mission has always been to celebrate and amplify global Black stories through authentic independent voices. Today, we feature more than 800 award-winning indie titles (documentaries, films, series and kids’ programming) from 500+ talented, diverse filmmakers from around the world.
As a Black-owned streaming service, we’re dedicated to reshaping narratives, uplifting underrepresented voices and giving audiences a place where they can see themselves and their cultures reflected on screen. We believe in the power of storytelling to heal, educate and inspire — and we’re looking forward to connecting with fellow OTT.X members who share that same passion. We can’t wait to collaborate, learn and grow together.
